Christmas 2011

Christmas this year was great.....with the princess being almost 5 she was anticipating every aspect of the holiday and we enjoyed every minute with her. We had our Christmas dinner on Christmas eve and then headed to the candlelight church service. As always it was beautiful! Then home to get the princess to bed so I could get to work with Daddy aka Santa! By 11:30 everything was under the tree and we were ready for the morning! She got up and my mom and brother were over by 7:30 and we were opening the gifts. She had a great time and is so very loved! It was definately a Barbie Christmas this year! I had said all I wanted for Christmas was approval on our last piece of adoption related paperwork so our dossier could be complete and I found out today that Santa did deliver as it was approved on December 23! Now just waiting for the hard copy in the mail! I hope you all had a great Christmas and took time to remember what Christmas is really all about!

Girls Night....with the kids!

For our girls night out in December we had fun with the kids making cookies, brownies, craft projects, eating pizza and just enjoying each other company. I can honestly tell you that beside being with my family....I love time with my 2 best friends. They know all my good points and the bad and still love and pray for me every day. That is what real friendship is all about....we do not always agree and sometimes we get mad....but I would never want to lose them from my life! And our kids adore each other too which makes things perfect!

Shrek The Halls...

We had a great time....although it was COLD!!!

ICE! is Florida's favorite frigid Christmas tradition, with over 20,000 square-feet of frosty 9-degree bliss played out in a winter wonderland of exciting hand-carved sculptures. And this year it's really all that it's cracked up to be, featuring five 30-foot ice slides and an all-new, awe inspiring tribute to the unforgettable DreamWorks' Animation TV classic Shrek the Halls™. You may feel a chill in the air but you'll feel warmth in your heart as you create wonderful holiday memories that last a lifetime.

The award-winning ICE! attraction is carved by a team of 40 artisans from Harbin, China. The talented artisans spend more than a month  creating this one-of-a-kind attraction. Harbin is best known for its annual International Ice and Snow Festival, where more than 2,000 sculptors annually carve a 100-acre walk-through ice park, using ice from the nearby Songhua River.

Fly In Fun!

So we were invited to a fly in....what is that you may be wondering? Well we drove to this person's house who lived on a BEAUTIFUL lake and around 16 planes flew in and landed on the lake and then parked them on the grass. A BBQ was held and then the pilots take off from the lake. It  was fun. The best part though was watching the princess. She took the camera and had a blast.....all these pics are by the princess herself! So this is the day through her eyes....
