Shrek The Halls...

We had a great time....although it was COLD!!!

ICE! is Florida's favorite frigid Christmas tradition, with over 20,000 square-feet of frosty 9-degree bliss played out in a winter wonderland of exciting hand-carved sculptures. And this year it's really all that it's cracked up to be, featuring five 30-foot ice slides and an all-new, awe inspiring tribute to the unforgettable DreamWorks' Animation TV classic Shrek the Halls™. You may feel a chill in the air but you'll feel warmth in your heart as you create wonderful holiday memories that last a lifetime.

The award-winning ICE! attraction is carved by a team of 40 artisans from Harbin, China. The talented artisans spend more than a month  creating this one-of-a-kind attraction. Harbin is best known for its annual International Ice and Snow Festival, where more than 2,000 sculptors annually carve a 100-acre walk-through ice park, using ice from the nearby Songhua River.

Fly In Fun!

So we were invited to a fly in....what is that you may be wondering? Well we drove to this person's house who lived on a BEAUTIFUL lake and around 16 planes flew in and landed on the lake and then parked them on the grass. A BBQ was held and then the pilots take off from the lake. It  was fun. The best part though was watching the princess. She took the camera and had a blast.....all these pics are by the princess herself! So this is the day through her eyes....

Christmas Wish Giveaway!!!

Hello friends and family! Tonight I am writing you to see if you would like to help make our baby girls dream come true. You see when we adopted our princess in 2008 we never thought we would be on this roller coaster ride again, but God and our princess had other plans! About a year ago she began to ask and pray for a baby sister from her China as she likes to say and in August we began pursuing that dream for our family. Let me tell you, adoption is not for the weak at heart but in the end it is worth every tear, prayer, overtime shift and fundraiser that you can imagine. So, now as we are heading straight into the holiday season we are going to be holding a giveaway for some beautiful jewelry from Jewels By Park Lane. There are 5 pieces that we will be giving away.

In order to enter, you can get 1 ticket for $5.00 or 3 for $10.00, the giveaway will run until December the 1st. This way you will have the items in time to give out as Christmas gifts if you desire. Here is where the Christmas miracle comes in….right now we are awaiting our final piece of paperwork from the Department of Homeland Security which we hope to get in December….then the next big payment is due…after that we hope to be matched quickly with our little girl to complete our family and then travel within around 4-6 months. At this time we still need approximately $19,000 total to complete everything. I know this is a HUGE number but I also know that we have a BIG God and ALL things are possible through Him!

So would you consider getting a ticket and then sharing with 10 of your personal family and friends or more? 3,800 tickets sold would fund the remainder of our adoption and make a Christmas wish come true! Will you stand with us? God bless you! Angie

Orphan Sunday....

Today is orphan Sunday where churches all across America stop and take the time to consider what they can do to help the Orphan....James 1:27 says
Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

So what are you going to do today to help the orphan? Maybe consider a foster child right here in your neighborhood? Look into adoption....maybe you do not have the heart for adoption but you have the abilities to help those who do? Whatever it may be, big or small, let's make a difference for these kids all around the world! Together we CAN make a difference...I know I am so thankful for adoption! Look at our precious gift via adoption....and now working on her baby sister!
