A Royal Day

Well as everyhone knows, or at least anyone with a tv, today was the royal wedding! Everywhere we went today I heard people talking about the dress, the outfits, ect.... This morning we got up and our very own princess dressed herself. It was quite a fashion statement. I let her wear it....why not. I got to thinking though.....as so many dream of being a princess today, we are ALL princesses. I was reading something and came across this which will remind us all!

God’s Princesses
God is our King and since we are all children of God,
girls are true princesses. God sees us as beautiful
princesses and He loves us till the ends of the earth.
He smiles down upon us and says,
"You, my daughter, are a beautiful princess. If I were to pick you up out of a chest full of diamonds and rubies, I would throw them all aside and choose you as the most beautiful."
So, stand tall in your tiara and gown, for God sees you
as the most beautiful.


Can you believe it? God says we are beautiful and valuable in His sight!
If you could just focus on the good points about yourself, than all the bad points you thought about yourself will just melt away.
We are more valuable than diamonds and rubies! God doesn’t care about all that stuff; He just cares about our hearts.

How awesome is that????? So to my own personal princess today I want to say...

My little princess,
I don’t have to tell you how much this world values looks, clothes, and physical perfection. Not me. I look past that outer shell and see your heart; that’s where I can see real beauty. Always remember you are beautiful and loved!

Science Fun!

Today we decided to head to the local science museum. We had a great time today. I think anytime spent together is great but it was especially fun to watch my princess as she thought through some of the activities that we were doing. She is a really smart little cookie! We also went to our first cinedome movie together, she was amazed by the huge domed screen! It is always fun to see things from a 4 year olds perspective!

Easter 2011

Hi! This weekend we had all kinds of Easter fun! On Friday we ate bunny cupcakes, on Saturday we made colored eggs and most important on Sunday we got to celebrate the risen Savior! After church we headed to the beach for some family fun! We had a great time. I could not have personally asked for a better day! Hope you enjoy the pics!

3 Years Ago.....

Do you know where you were 3 years ago? I do! 3 years ago we were a married couple waiting for a daughter....3 years ago today we received the phone call that would forever change our lives! The call telling us of a little girl half way around the world who needed parents. We were her parents and she was our daughter! Oh what an amazing feeling that was! All the hopes and dreams were finally coming to a reality! Today I am going to share the first picture we saw and then a few along this journey! What an amazing gift adoption is! We were blessed with the perfect daughter for us.

Park Fun

Today we met Annie, Abby and Jack at the park for a little fun! It was around 92 degrees with a breeze....it did not take long until all the kids were sweating! As you can see from the pictures they had a good time! I often wonder when looking at the kids together what life will be like 10 years from now....will they still be as close as they are today? In 10 years Abby will be 20 and the rest of our little crew will all be teenagers, YIKES! She really will need a sister then since there will be 3 teenage boys and then her! LOL! Lazy Sundays

So after working the last 2 nights, I slept a couple of hours and when I woke up what did the princess want? She wanted to go out for ice cream....so we went! Today was a warm day and let me tell you that Dairy Queen cone hit the spot! Can she be any cuter???

Hello! So many of my adoptive friends have continued their blogs since their adoptions and I love to catch up on how everyone is doing so i decided to jump back in to the blogging world! We are having an amazing time with our 4 year old princess! She has been an answer to prayers and a real dream come true! There really is a happily ever after! Her latest quest is for a baby sister! She is adamant that she does not want a brother! We will see what the future holds. She says her baby sister is in her China! She is adorable!
