Lazy Summer Nights....

Well I sit at home tonight with a messed up knee but surrounded by giggles from our princess and love overflowing! After dinner, we went outside by the swingset and you would think she never was on a swing before.....every time it is as much fun as the very first time. She loves to go as high as she can! And when she gets up there, oh the giggles you can hear. It is a joy to hear! Cannot wait for more summer evenings relaxing with my family of 3....dreaming to be a family of 4! Hope you all are enjoying your family time too! Take advantage of every moment. In a blink we will look back an wonder where all the time went!

We love summer and we especially love the pool! I am also thankful that after our little one's first session of swim lessons she has improved greatly! Today we spent the morning  at the pool with best friends. I am so proud of the friendships that I have and that our kids love each other too! It makes all of our outings so much more fun! Good morning!

Good morning everyone! Last night I was working and discussing this next adoption with a friend. We were brainstorming on ways to help with the funding and also have fun.....so we thought a 50/50 raffle would be great fun! Here is how it will work. For every $10 you donate by clicking on the chip in button to the right side of this page and paying via paypal, or in person to me, you will be entered into the 50/50 drawing. This will run through June the 16 which is 3 weeks away. Do you realize if we could sell 1,000 raffle tickets that would be $5,000 dollars each??? Who would not love the chance to win? I know that seems like a big dream, but I know how to dream big! If you do not even try you will never know if you would have succeeded! So who is with me? Are you willing to take a gamble and help make a dream come true? Feel free to share this with anyone you know. the more the merrier!

Journey to a mei mei.....

As many of you already know. Our little princess so wants a mei mei or little sister of her own. She talks about it, dreams about it and wishes for her on a daily basis. When we first adopted our little one in 2008 I truly believed that she would be our only adoption. Little did we know that she would have a plan all her own. So, over the upcoming months, we will be working more and coming up with ideas to help the funds come together. Which leads me to our first project....

As many will say it takes a village to raise a child. We all know this to be true. Without the love and support of all those in our lives we would have never made it to China the first time and we are forever grateful for that. Now as we look forward we are hoping you will join our village again. Our first opportunity will be in the Mermaid bracelet sale. Did you know that if we sold 2,500 bracelets we would have almost ALL of the funding needed??? I think about all the people I know and who they know and with things like facebook. Is it really too big of a dream to think we could sell a good amount of these bracelets? I do not think so! Each bracelet with shipping to your home address is $33.50 and $8.00 from each bracelet will go towards the adoption fund. The bracelet and the description can be seen below....

Genuine shells, in a luscious shade of iridescent pink form the bracelet Bracelet is 7 1/2 inches long plus a 1-inch extension.
To order the bracelet please click the buy now button on the right hand side of the page. Also feel free to share this page with anyone who might also want this lovely pink bracelet while helping to make a dream come true!
So will you join our village and help a little girl's dream come true????

Fun Times!

Hello! I feel like I have been missing for over a week! In all honesty I have just been working more days than normal! Last Saturday we went to a friend's baby shower from work. It has been interesting as this has been the first pregnancy that our little princess has really been around and noticed, after touching the belly a whole new conversation started. Now she wants me to tell her the story about the baby. She wanted to know what she was doing in there and I told her growing and preparing to come out. Next thing you know she said to me, but i did not grow in your belly. I said no, you did not. You grew in your birth mom's belly. She then informed me that she was sleeping at that time! Haha! I guess she was! Then she said she was born and we got on a plane to bring her home. Not exactly but those are the highlights! I love that even at such a young age she already has a knowledge of her history and she knows she is oh sooo loved!!!

This week is Emergency services week so we headed out to Station 11 to visit a co-worker and check out the firehouse! It is a new station and was nice on the inside. The kids loved seeing everything. We then headed to the lake for some fun! Good times were had by all! Hope you all have had a great week!

Water Fun!

Yesterday we started swim lessons at the YMCA and then when I got to work I was reminded of how very important those lessons are. Please remember water safety and if  your child cannot swim do not let them out of arms reach while around water. Every second counts when water is involved. Today we planted some more flowers, played in the sprinkler and cleaned out LOTS of toys that are no longer played with. I hope they get some love in their new home!

Pool Time

love bugs everywhere!
Today we headed back to our local mini water park. As always we had a great time. In fact the little princess is even doing better with trying to swim. Hopefully she will have it down this summer! The worst part of the day is that it is love bug season. There seemed to be swarms of them everywhere! Yuck! They just love us too much! LOL! Anyways we had a great time!
