I must be honest though, when packing up I get a little sentimental. Yes we are tired of being here and the food, living out of hotels....the list could go on and on. But honestly I am saddened when I think of Ella leaving her homeland. As one adoptive mother shared, this is not her dream come true, it is ours. As we leave here she will leave all the sounds and smells and language that is familiar to her. We will be excited to be home but all of it will be new to her. She will enter our crazy, hectic family....with a dog! I know she will adjust and do well over time as this is our second adoption but it will take time. I look forward to her meeting her big sister for the first time as she cannot wait to meet her. I pray that having a little sister is all she dreamed it would be. I pray that we can parent these children just as they need to be parented.
I want to thank China for giving us the honor and privilege to parent our 2 beautiful daughters. We have been blessed beyond measure. There are many more orphans around the world needing a mom and a dad tonight. Are you the answer to their prayers? Or can you maybe help support a family who is? If you are interested in adopting and wonder where the money will come from.....do not say no for that reason. It can be done. I want to thank everyone who helped us in making this a reality. For every giveaway ticket and empanada that was bought....it did not go unnoticed. It was all appreciated....and this is what it all comes down to, Ella is coming home!!!!
Beautiful ! welcome home Ella
